Basking in the Sunlight was the ABSOLUTE most BORING thing ever, why couldn't he just Attack and Kill everybody now? After all he had the power to do so, they were all just a bunch of weak meddling humans. No, one could be capable of resetting everything he did, one would rise above them all and kill him. Just Stand there and Look Pretty, a Pretty innocent yellow flower. A friendly thing, that smiled at the people who looked down on him. Of course, the moment they walked away, he'd shoot them dirty looks, even giving a small growl of disgust.
The Owner of the Flowershop he used as his hiding place, was completely unaware of his sentience intelligence, why everyone here was. It made everything so much easier to blend in, not once being spotted. So when the flower was stretching his limbs, trying to catch more of the sunlight, he was highly unaware the newcomer that'd just ruin his day. This fabulous Sunny Day of Kill or Be Kill. That always ended in a Bloody-Hell of a Night.
The sound of mechanical feet walking through the streets filled the air as Maverick Hunter: Zero took his first steps through Radiant garden. The scarlet Reploid glanced about. The way he carried himself, the way he kept glancing about, and the mistrust in his expression were all clear give aways he was lost. The strange armor however, was what made it obvious that he truly didn't belong. Just where did he come from? Just where was he going? Those were the questions that persisted to any lost heart.
After a few moments of wandering... He placed his hand against the side of his helmet, activating the radio within. "Alia... Douglas... Signas...Anyone! I've been transported to an unknown location, I think the transport malfunctioned. I need navigator assistance to seek out a rendezvous point. I repeat, I need navigator assistance for a rendezvous point." The hunter stated, only to be greeted to the harsh hiss of static in return. He gnashed his teeth before pulling his hand away.
"Damn... Looks like I'm on my own." He growled, before crossing his arms to lean against a wall. He sat there for a moment, trying to think... When suddenly he caught a bit of movement in the corner of his eye. Across the street, a flower not unlike the bushel it was surrounded by was...Stretching? Zero's eyes narrowed on the plant as he stood up. It was probably a spy of some sort. If the Repliforce truly were responsible for sending him here they'd no doubt use a small Mechaniloid to keep tabs on him.
The hunter suddenly walked toward the shop with a stern and determined glare.
Thump Thump. What the? An Earthquake!? The flower flinched back from the ground vibrations as something heavier than the average human seemed to bumping up against the ground closer. He peered fearfully into the direction, only to see some freak thing walking up towards him, Oh snap! He'd better pretend to be play dead, be a happy flower.. Be a happy Flower. What a lovely flower. Who knows, maybe the heavy thing just wanted to buy a flower from some Dumb female lover? Maybe... That was it, had to be, absolutely did.
His heart, if he even had a heart, did he have one? Began racing as the heavy thing made his pot rattle just a little, not too noticeable. Before it was finally within arm's reach. The plant tensed up ready to jump into defensive action should the subject in question attempted to pick him. Who.. Would.. Pick a flower? haha.. Not next to a Professional Flowershop, he was just being paranoid that's all... He swallowed counting the seconds, waiting for the figure to buy a flower and leave. Why was he suddenly fearful? It was just One person out of hundreds, the air.. It felt like.. Kill or Be Killed.... He'd be Damned to be the One Killed.
The footsteps got closer and closer as the hunter made his way closer to his prey. He didn't care what sort of strange looks he might have received. Not when he was so sure he was being watched. Nor when he was so fixated on his current objective. He merely let his shadow loom over the flower for a moment as he inspected it.
"Well. What have we here?" Zero questioned as he focused on the trembling flower's pot. He glared daggers at the small little thing as he stared down upon him like a predator
"If I'm not mistaken... Flora isn't supposed to move like you. Not unless it was actually mechanical. So why don't you quit your acting and tell me what a mechaniloid is doing hiding out among the flowers. You better be quick before I start picking apart important pieces." The hunter threatened with cold edge to his tone as he attempted to reach for the pot.
It was Getting.. LOUDER.... He... He.. Couldn't this.. Stay still.. Pretend to be nothing.. It. It. No, he had to. For Survival! Then a Male deep voice sounded above him, the words asking what they had. "Well. What have we here?" Why.. Flowers.. All the pretty flowers, but he Knew the voice was targeted at him could just feel the burning daggers even with his eyes close. He tried to resist the urgency to whimper in fear at this very heavy rando boredo individual.
Then.. The tone changed, taking on a even rougher more questioning, almost Demanding tone of voice. Jig was up, he was busted, Best couple of months ever. He felt the movement of a hand reaching for him, desperately his leaves[arms] moved protectively over his face, "Wait.. Don't.." He called out in a high-pitched almost child-like pained voice, eyes opening to look at Zero. Quickly placing on a false innocent child's eyes. "I-I mean you no harm, just a simple plant living at a flower shop, the owner... My-my Owner grew me here. " Shit.. Dammit he flinched the lie, did the guy notice? Fuck he hoped not. "Wha-what's this.. Mechanilod? Is it a flower too?"He gulped moisture building on his flower petals, as if he was all scared, his mind reeling methods to escape. He could use his friendly petals, his vines, he could perhaps.. Could he? Reset? No.. Not since that child, then has he tried? No, no he'd be damned to try that. Perhaps this thing.. Was No match for him, after all it was just a bucket of Stupid Bolts.
Well. That seemed certainly more emotion than he expected. Was this thing actually a Reploid? Or could it have been something...More? There was no way this was a sentient plant was there? No, that was a silly notion. Zero didn't have time for fantasies. He glowered down as he brought the plant to eye level. "Don't toy with me! Who sent you to spy on me? Why else would you be hiding out here?!" The hunter barked as his brows seemed to furrow.
"This city seems to be mostly inhabited by humans. Leaving you and me as the only ones that stand out. That can't be a coincidence!" He demanded, as he brought the plant closer to him. "If you expect me to believe you are a literal plant instead of a 'plant' put here to monitor me then you must think I'm pretty foolish!"
A doubt nagged at Zero though. Something he couldn't explain.
This city was so...Primitive. Everything seemed so outlandish and different from what he was used to. It could have all been a simulation of course, there had been some sort of bug that had been corrupting cyberspace. Maybe some Repliforce operatives managed to jack his consciousness into cyberspace while he was left unaware.
The ground.. Oh gawd The ground it was getting further away, he was going to be sick... His panic sky-rocketed as he tried to keep it together, do not attack. Do not attack. DO NOT ATTACK. Just a Flower, a Boring boring flower, he was going to be sick!! While he was Trying hard not to barf chlorophyll all over the place, the man just barked at him about toying and spying.. Why.. The Fuck would he be spying on Such a Damn Freak? He was so Sick and Tired of everybody being so Much Damn stronger than him! Why would.. he just.. Wait.. The Barking Mutt, mentioned about Humans.. And they were standing out.. His nausea subsided as he slowly raised his body to appear at this man's eye.. He did look more hideous than those stupid humans, that Helmet was some sort of Cosplay gone wrong, Skeleton would be just Pounding the man with puns.... Why.. Thinking of that damn skeleton, what would it be? Metal-head? Bleh.. Forget it, he didn't give a damn. Puns were not his things.
The guy just continued about being monitored, and being foolish, fuck sake man.. Get a room for stalker obsession... Paranoia. Ugh... His Face.. He got a closer Look, WHY did this Metal-PRimate insist on placing them Eye to eye so Damn close. He had to just place his leaves forward worried about touching the metal-thing.. "Dammit, put me down, You ugly Metal-Primate. You're the most Fucking Paranoid Monster I'd ever met! What.. Were you made by the Mad Anime Obsessed Scientist, Alphys? Ugh, Yuck." Though if he was... That means, everyone else was still alive, right? Then.. no, they were certainly dead... he.. he.. been certain of it.. All of them were.. Right? Some small part hoped Alphys made the Metal Robot Moron, and that his family still lived.. He could cry. No wait, Fuck that. Their All Damn morons, Who just Forget things over and over. Stupid.. Resets.
"Dr. Alphys? I haven't heard that name before." Zero simply remarked with a flat tone despite the fact that he finally was getting somewhere. This Alphys could be working with the Repliforce or maybe she could have been one of Sigma's proxies like Dr. Doppler! He was skeptical that his being here happened to be some sort of innocent mishap. A sudden inexplicable diversion to interrupt him and send him off course as he was about to confront the first Repliforce Commander? It was far too convenient.
"Was she the one who created you? Is she the one who sent me here and interfered with my mission?" He asked holding the plant a bit closer, his brows furrowing a bit further in his intensity. He had no time for games and this flower was so busy throwing insults and panicked cries that it felt like pulling teeth to make sense of it.
"For the record... I'm no monster you little pipsqueak. I'm the one who preys on the monsters. I'm Zero, a Maverick Hunter." He spoke frigidly as he finally set the pot down. He reached behind him, grabbing the hilt of his saber as he looked upon the flower with deadly indifference.
"If I were you: I'd be giving me reasons to believe that you aren't a Maverick. Maybe you can start by being cooperative and telling me where the hell I ended up."
Never heard of Doctor Alphy's well, wasn't that such a Not present surprise, of course' they were all destroyed! Yet here he was, pretending to be a Plant, facing this over the top bright pointless sun. In a World of Murderous bastard Stoopid Humans! That just don't give a damn about anyone else, except if they get to live tomorrow. He felt a slight growl eyes narrowing thinking of that Frisk kid, how dare he just.. How dare they just.. Why? Did this have to Happen to Him?
The guy suddenly broke into assumptions about creations, damn Metal-bolts thinking everybody created everyone.. How did that even work? Anyway?"What? The Hell. Fuck No! Do I look Gay? Happy and Obsessed with Game Shows Like Another Metal-Brain Moron? Fuck, no. I.. Was... " Was.. Born to a Mother and Father.. and Had a family.. And.. He.. didn't want to admit all that.. Not a second.. Time. His leaves curled inward, his body lowered itself as if crouching.. He. He. Wasn't... Missing his Mommy.. They, didn't get it... anyway. "I'm Flowey, a Damn Flowey. You Do the Figuring out Bolt-Brain!"
He gave a huff, as the the man went on about not being a Monster, and Calling him a Pipsqueak... Yeah sure whatever. Then he said he preys on Monsters, and his Real name. He tilted his body, wait this was a Monster hunter? The flower tilted thinking of Chara and this thing.. Could be of use.. Maybe.. He will enjoy killing all of the Monsters of his Underground kingdom? A creepy smile slowly formed as he hid the laughter, fear vibrating through the core. "A.. Monster Hunter? Named Zero? What Zero Kills in the Last Week?" He slowly giggled a little more, oh man.. Finally a Protector, somebody to just... Watch. Could, Monsters kill to. Why yes, He was one.. So Clearly Bolt-brain had capacity.
The Guy began reaching behind him, Oh a weapon? Was it a Pencil like Chara's? That'd.. Be a Unique method of Murdering.. But no, that was a sword had to be, the dynamic was too Large and clashing. The thing spoke nice and slow about-about ending up, and Oh! An Interrogation! This was Fun! Why, would he slaughter those that beg for.. for.. life.. He felt a suddenly memory flashback of getting slashed... Stomped.. Murdered, with Bright red eyes looking down on him.. Chara. Did that. Killed him, laughing, before forcing control over.. He shook his flowers, the world Turned black. Then He here. The body responded by the leaved shaking a little, his face turning from near laughing to actual nervousness, "Hey listen. Put that thing away? How about a Friendly Partnership? You don't kill me, I help you. And we both figure out why the hell there's so many Damn humans here.. And where the hell we Both ended up? Hmm? I can't really Harm you, now can I? Being in a Pot and all.. Innocent little flower." He swallowed stomach dropping in fear that this thing will just slash at him... But, If he had to Kill it. HE WILL.
The robot closed his eyes and let out a slow exhale. Maybe he was going too far...This little flower could really be innocent. After all he had made no moves to attack Zero and it had seemed to be more panicked and confused than hostile. It could very well be just an incredibly uppity innocent. Though the fact that it kept SWEARING up and down that it was just a flower irked him somewhat. There was no way that could be right. Flowers weren't supposed to talk after all. Zero had no way of confirming what he actually was because he had no navigator to instruct him either.
"I'm sorry little one, I may have been taking my frustration out on you. I assumed you were an enemy. I was so dazed about ending up here and focused on the mission that I wasn't listening." He admitted, his tone turning a bit softer as he released his saber hilt and instead picked up the pot once more with a bit more care. He brought the plant to eye level once more so he could speak to him directly.
"I don't really need a partner Flowey, but you're looking like you need some help." He explained, though his frown didn't falter. Not in the slightest. The way he spoke about humans was enough to keep Zero on edge but it wasn't enough for him to lash out.
"You don't seem to know where here is either do you? Where are you from exactly?"
A rush of relief flooded through his system as the robot closed its eyes relaxing his own metallic useless body, before apologizing about his actions. The tone turned a bit softer, making the flower completely relaxing to the point of huffing as if he'd won some major war. "Well, don't let it happen again!" The flower gave a slight growl showing teeth, the humans around beginning to notice this odd metallic thing talking to a plant. This meant the flower's cover was blown, well dammit... What made the whole situation worst the Metallic Bolt Brain even went so far as turn down his help! Offering to help! WHAT!!! Ha! He needed HIM, There was NO WAY this Bolt Brain couldn't make it through this world of humans alone!! At least.. he.. he.. needed the Bolt brain's help, no-not that he'd admit it. The tears felt stuck in the back of his stem-throat, he didn't know where to go.. Where... to return to.. Everything was just, convulated and confusing.
"Ha! Yes-I know exactly WHERE I am! Above Ground!" He lied, he hoped it wasn't obvious with his high pitched squeaky voice, that quickly cleared up. "Why, My home is Unlike anything you bolt-dummy brain probably ever saw. Filled to the brim with Terrible Monsters! That'd kill all these pitiful pathetic Humans! Why THE UNDERGROUND." He lied again, one child human killed... everyone.. every last monster.. it. it. was the real monster. Yet, the child wasn't even the one in control at the end.. His. home. Was underground.. There was no place under here.. It. Was.. Gone.. Deleted Removed. He. Felt more alone than ever. A small shiver went down his stem, will he always be just. alone?
"So! Bot-brain! Need a Tour, There's this water fountain over there.. Oh.. and this Forest over here.. and a Castle.. Secret Lab, Yep! And.. And.. Lots of Stuuupid Humans." He gave a slight fake chuckle, to hide his insecurities of this place being nothing like the Above ground he personally experienced. How he hated how advanced the people were here.. How.. He just..kept killing them. One-be-one.. wishing they'd All just perish.
Zero still remained critical as he kept his gaze on the flower, though he didn't show much of a change in emotion he was dissecting everything he was saying carefully. The faux confidence and insults just kept coming but the hunter would let him have his little tantrum if it meant he could gain some more information. He was curious what sort of bunker he came from and what sort of mavericks had been hiding there but...He'd just have to find out at some other time.
"How about we check out this secret lab of yours then..." He simply stated as he lifted up the pot and began to take it out of the store. This lab he mentioned and the castle had peaked his interest more than the 'deadly monsters' he was going on about. After all, fighting was always familiar to him so he wasn't too worried about having to hunt down a few rogue robots hiding in the dirt. He needed to know where he was redirected to before he could make any moves.
"I'm sure I can access some sort of archive explaining just where this place actually is." He said looking out to the streets of that strange world. "With any luck I could open up a communication with my allies in the Hunter HQ." He continued, assuming there had to have been some sort of terminal or computer in this secret lab he was talking about. "I could find your bunker of mavericks underground after that. They won't be able to hurt anyone. I promise."
The jokes went over boltbrain's head, the flower could just see past that hideous disappointed look. It was baffling, tiring, and annoying. Why must all Boltbrains be so damn frustratingly stupidly serious? All About Cooking, All about Showmanship, all about getting wherever.. they needed to Damn well go. Whatever. "The secret Lab? Sure, why not. Not like anyone actually goes down there.. Or be useful, about use abandoned as the Hidden tunnel that leads to it." The flower gave a snicker, though held deep lines of mockery.
The Robot, Zero, just broke into possibly this thing had information.. That it could be a way of communication. Sure. The flower knew nothing to hell that meant, mostly living a life as a plant.. And not really being part of experiments or labs or any of that stuff. He just shrugged it off, and pointed the direction. Soon giving directions to the tunnel for them to follow into the lab, the location hidden behind a couple of shrubs.
Those mechanical footsteps echoed throughout Radiant Garden as the robot carried the flower along the pathway he was being lead along. The maverick hunter's sharp gaze took in the sights especially as they followed along the pathway of the bailey toward the grand castle. As they ascended the stairs Zero took a moment to look out to the horizon.
The contrasting view of the blue earth and the orange sky gave the hunter pause as he looked past the chain link fence and out to the world beyond. It definitely didn't look like any sort of place he had been to before. Yet, he found his gaze driven toward the 'Great Maw' that he could only just barely see in the distance.
"..."
The hunter paused as he clutched his helmet and winced in pain. The faintest outline of a symbol or perhaps a letter flashed on that gem in his forehead as he fought back a splitting headache.
"G..." He shook it off however, and instead turned his attention toward the flower. "Hey you... These monsters of yours...Do they ever mention a Reploid by the name of Sigma?" He wasn't sure why he felt compelled to ask even as the words escaped his lips. Sigma had been dead. His friend X made sure of that the last time the two had to deal with another incursion of the rogue robots lead by him.
The echo of mech tapping against the ground, the sound expanding and bouncing all over the place. A sound that grew even worst as they came to close quarters of the hallways inside the castle leading up into the lab, area growing darker and darker. The air coming to feel cooler and slightly damper than before. The flower stayed silent concentrating on his directions, but his insides were swirling with fear. Maybe this was a bad idea? No. wait. robot or creepy lab. Nothing was in the lab, everything was great... Perfect.. The guy spoke up, the voice a bit of comfort? At least the Flower in a pot wasn't alone? "No, that's a horrible name. Why would anyone Wanna be Called Reploid or Sigma?" He huffed the voice very high pitch and held a small little shake of high emotion.
The deeper they went more computers old old ancient computers showed up, along with several hallway split that looked as if they were going deeper.. Some had doors that were locked, other doors open to reveal empty dirty rooms. The stench was of mildew and just horrid nightmare of a cleaning lady. The flower couldn't smell it, perks of being a Flower! hurray! But he could definitely feel that moist sticky humidity in the air. "There we go, now put me down over there at the computer. No Way I wanna go exploring down those Assholes screaming of Doom! Too many stanky labs for me!"
